I'm here in Portland, OR visiting my
mother in the hospital, and am using the V-Link system
to update relatives all over the east coast, where I live.
This rapid deployment of news would not be possible any
other way.

It was a great service. We're hundreds
of miles from our kids for the first extended period of
time in their 15-19 years. Wife had to have eye surgery.
They're staying with two different families at home and
are active teens, so hard to catch up with. Also nice,
we can manage finances from here.

Having the V-link available to patients
in the VA hospital is a great idea. It allows patients
to check e-mail, check the news updates, and access the
VA system directly. It also makes the waiting time seem
alot shorter.
