Beaverton, Oregon - Veicon Technology, Inc. today announced V-Shopper, a cost-effective Internet access solution for the retail market. For less than $50 per month, now store owners can support online shopping terminals to increase revenues and profits.

Veicon's V-Shopper is an add-on solution to the company's V-Link Internet and e-mail terminal, which consists of a display screen, mouse, keyboard, and 10/100baseT network interface. V-Shopper runs on Veicon's patented software technology that provides unmatched file system protection, remote administration and both user and system level security.

V-Shopper terminals require much lower maintenance and provide greater security for both the users and the network than PCs. Since there is no PC to maintain, troubleshooting usually consists of turning the power off and on. Since there's no disk storage on the V-Shopper device, no user information is stored after the user logs off. Veicon's patented software technology also erases all evidence of each user's private information and protects the server from hacker attacks.
