Ada Community Library, Star Branch in Boise, ID purchased
the space-saving VLT-C917 for their Internet access
and MS Office stations. The high reliability combined
with sharp screen resolution and low footprint is appreciated
by both library staff and patrons.
|
| 15" (VLT-C915) and 17" (VLT-C917)
models are available. Overall dimensions for VLT-C917
measure 15.5 inches high, 15.8 inches wide, and 7.1 inches
deep with a footprint of only 7.5 by 8.5 (not including
keyboard). Monitor comes in black or tan.
The VLT-C910 combines a 17 or 15 inch color LCD monitor
with a V-Link terminal, both with a three year warranty,
to produce a compact station that provides the maximum
display area with a minimum footprint (more room on
the desk for note pads and other belongings!). The base
unit securely mounts on the back of the monitor and
provides all the standard amenities of V-Link terminals
plus a sharp, high-brightness display that aligns with
new 'green power' philosophies by significantly reducing
energy consumption as compared to traditional CRT monitors.

Veicon is scheduled to sponsor Internet Cafés at LITA for
the 5th year in a row, WLA/PNLA and the CODI/HUG conference
being held in Veicon's home town of Portland Oregon!

The Schools & Libraries Division of Universal Service Administrative
Company (USAC) was established to help schools and public
libraries serve their patrons by providing discounts on telephone
and Internet systems. Having completed the application process,
Veicon is now an eligible USAC technology provider!
What does this
mean for libraries who will be installing V-Link?
Our customers now have a chance for discounts up to 85% on
V-Link servers! Servers should be listed under the "Internal
Connections" category as a terminal server and/or E-Mail server
when filling Form 470. Terminal hardware will most likely
not fit under the SLD eligibility guidelines.
When submitting RFP's, libraries can include Veicon in the
bidding process by referencing Veicon's SPIN number (Service
